Who We Are
Heritage Fellowship is…
A gospel community that exists for people to “become” rather than simply come. We are a people that realize we are being transformed daily for our joy and the good of our city and world. We desire to be part of God’s movement locally and globally.
Encountering God happens in two different ways at Heritage; both on a corporate and individual level. Our objective on Sunday as a corporate body is to create a welcoming, family-centered, authentic environment for our church family and guests alike. We want our Sunday worship experience to be a place where barriers are removed so that people can truly encounter and worship God as we point to the cross of Jesus Christ. We also provide resources for our Heritage family to help them make time to get alone with God and sit in His presence.
We believe that unity within the church worldwide is attractive to both believers and non-believers alike. When people see the children of God uniting under the leadership of Jesus Christ they are naturally drawn to this atmosphere. At Heritage, we will intentionally seek to unite as a local community of believers, as well as unite with other churches in our area to equip each other to reach those who are lost in our community. As a community of believers, we provide Life Groups where participants will engage in a rhythm of life that allows for personal growth and city transformation.
At Heritage, we believe Scripture is clear that it is our responsibility to make an impact in our community and world with the love of Jesus Christ. We believe it is our responsibility to love those in need around us. We provide different avenues for our community of believers to make sure that our community hears, sees, and experiences the gospel of Jesus Christ. Heritage also desires to provide different avenues for national and international missions alike in order to reach our world with the love of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is quite simple. Encounter. Unite. Impact. The foundation of our mission is found in Matthew 22 where Jesus sums up the law in saying “Love God and love your neighbor as yourself.” So that is what we are about…cultivating a community of believers that values ENCOUNTERING God, UNITING with others, and IMPACTING our community and world with the love of Jesus Christ.
We envision a people who are passionate about their relationships with God and others so that God’s kingdom brings transformation to our city and beyond.
