Our Worship

Worship at Heritage

At Heritage Fellowship, we believe that worship is not just something we do on Sunday mornings. We believe that God has called us as Christians to live our lives in worship to Him. Whether we are at work, school, taking care of our kids, serving at church, we are meant to be doing those things as an act of worship to God. The church worships God as we go about our lives serving, loving, and being light to the world around us.

We also believe that gathering together with other believers is crucial for the Christian. The author of Hebrews writes that because of Jesus we are able to enter the presence of God with confidence and because of that we should hold fast to our faith (Heb. 10:19-23). He then goes onto say that as the people of God, the church should “consider how to stir up one another to love and good works” (Heb. 10:24). Even more, he encourages God’s people to not neglect meeting together. Gathering together to worship God through singing, preaching, and just building relationships with each other, is what church is about. Church isn’t mean to be something we check off our to do list, it’s not a tradition. Gathering together is meant to help us encourage each other and point each other toward Jesus. We value our time on Sunday mornings where we are able to gather with our family to worship God and connect with each other.
